Take advantage of the countries around you. Take advantage of the unique opportunity of being somewhere different in the world and visit the countries around you on the weekends! During my time in Spain I visited 7 other countries in Europe and Africa! After graduation it may be hard to do this again in your life so do it NOW!
Get to know the people in your classes. Your classes will most likely be filled with people from around the world. I became really close with a group of students from China and Morocco. Because of this I was able to visit Morocco with her and will always have a place to go to if I visit China. They will become your friends for life due to the unique experience you shared together.
Immerse yourself within the culture you are living in. Studying abroad gives you the unique to live in a different part of the world where culture and norms are different. I took place in the local celebrations, ate the food, and spoke in the native language whenever possible.
